What kind of show is Whitmer Thomas performing?
This event is listed as a pop/rock concert. The Independent's intimate, approximately 500-capacity room is well suited to a close-up live performance, with the stage at floor level and strong sight lines from much of the venue.
How much do Whitmer Thomas tickets cost?
Prices currently start around $40, with tickets potentially reaching approximately $150 or more depending on availability. Prices can change as the event approaches because of demand, inventory, and the selected ticket listing. Review the final price and fees before completing your purchase.
Is The Independent seated or standing room?
The Independent is generally a general-admission standing-room venue, with no reserved seating unless an event listing specifically says otherwise. The compact layout and floor-level stage create an immersive concert experience from across the room.
Where is the best place to stand at The Independent?
For a close view, arrive early and choose a spot near the front of the stage. The venue is known for good acoustics and sight lines throughout the floor, so standing farther back can offer a more spacious view while keeping you in the live-music atmosphere.
What is the worst place to stand at The Independent?
There is no reserved-seat section to avoid, but sight lines can be affected if you arrive after the room has filled or stand behind taller guests. If being close to the stage is important, plan to arrive early; if you prefer more room, consider standing toward the back or along the sides.
What are the parking options near The Independent?
Street parking on Divisadero Street and nearby blocks is limited on show nights. The provided venue information says metered parking in the area is free after 6 p.m.; always check posted signs for restrictions. Nearby paid lots and garages may be available a short walk away, and reserving a space through SpotHero in advance can help. Public transit is encouraged.

Are rideshare services available after the show?
Yes. The venue information identifies Lyft as The Independent's official rideshare partner, with pickup and drop-off available on Divisadero Street. Rideshare demand and wait times may increase after a busy or sold-out show, so allow extra time for your trip home.
